New Year, New Shoes?

If I had $1 for every time I enquired about one of the kid's missing pieces of clothing that was met with a shrug of the shoulders, I probably would be writing this post from some secluded beach in the islands rather than the workshop. The rate at which they can misplace their shoes, sweatshirts and bags at school and kindy absolutely astounds me! I think we set the record with the quickest loss of shoes last year... Day 1! All summer we spent the time reminding the boys to look after their stuff, tidy up after themselves and remember where they put things and "ta da" the shoes managed to magically disappear sometime between leaving for school at 8am and the bell ringing at 230pm. Vanished into thin air apparently. Luckily these were just misplaced and were located the next day after a stern talking to was had.

When they kids first got crocs, we wanted to make sure that these didn't become another item swallowed up by the "I don't know" monster, so Lynley created our shoe charms. Practically speaking, these were to stop the kids from misplacing their crocs and were never intended as an item to sell through the website. I mentioned these to some colleagues at the time, and without any promotion the whole office was ordering them for their kids, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. They have quickly become our most popular item on the website.
